My Darwin Festival Exhibition 100 portraits for 100 years to commemorate the Territory’s centenary is in the final stages of production, those of you who can’t be in Darwin for Saturdays Launch , keep coming back to the blog for updates, every one of these photos was used to tell a story, but here I get the chance to tell a few of the stories that didn’t fit or for journalistic purposes didn’t get published …Like Bill Risk who, as he was being photographed rolling a smoke, telling me about his son’s death in a car accident , or Billy Bunter , proud to be photographed at the spot where the Gurindji walked off Wave Hill Station , sparking the Aboriginal land rights movement , Barbara Tjikatu who worries her self sick about tourists climbing Uluru , Bob Gosford photographed with his own Leica M 9 ( still far under used sadly ) and my compadre Andrew McMillan facing his own demons with a style and grace that is to be admired….
