We went for a bit of a drive in Queensland the planet of my birth, after not photographed there for over a decade…Thinking of going back for a longer trip….after all where else can you set up an anti-aircraft gun in your front yard?

There is just nothing that looks bad under the last day’s light of the North !

I’ve been travelling and annoying the wildlife of the Northern Territory lately with trips to Bare Sand Island for Sea Turtle nesting,

and the Daly River for a bit of Barramundi,

and it got me to thinking about wildlife photography and the pains that the top guy’s go through to get those magnificent shots…something I didn’t have to do for the set of photo’s below, all taken within 20 m of our back door in Fannie Bay.

I had the opportunity to shoot the acting legend Jack Thompson recently and had this half arsed idea of recreating that famous Cleo Centerfold 40 years on…

but something in his eyes told me that it was not on!

This is the trailer to his cracking Australian road movie ” Wake in Fright ” , I’m glad to say that not much has changed up here!

You can easily replace filmmaker with photographer…hang around for the Pie Chart its a classic.
