I just had a spot on the new ABC arts show, “Arts Nation”, see it here , 2 days of filming with me gamboling around the bush shooting my project 42/45, usually the only time I make it onto the box is in the background on a news job, very weird to have that much attention paid to me.
I have to thank Kate Dethridge from the Australian War Memorial for the nice things I’m sure she said about me ,Richard Luxton who loaned us his WW 2 era airfield at Coomalie Creek and Nick Belfield who loaned us his 1942 Harvard Trainer for a bit of filming, that all unfortunately ended up on the cutting room floor.
Only in the Territory can you find passionate folks who have access to fighter planes and will lend them to you for a few photos.

and going for a ride was an absolute thrill I thoroughly recommend taking a ride in one of these planes if you ever get the chance.

But what usually happens is a picture you never planned presents it’s self when we found a pile of old bomb casings after a fire had gone through and burned off all the long grass that had concealed them for the last 70 years.
