Just goes to show that in the Top End it takes a long time for the country to dry out as we found out on the Tompkinson River flood plain near Maningrida as the Djelk Rangers and I were scouring the flood plain for a few buffalo to shoot a full 5 months after the last water drained off the plain and we were still up to our axles, luckily we had another mutika there to pull us out.
