The dog pictured is one of nearly 100 that Mutitjulu resident Louie James keeps in his compound after taking it upon himself to be guardian and saviour of the towns stray dogs, using his pension to buy in dog food by the pallet load. »

Heading back to Owen Springs and a day spent chasing feral cattle out on the flat left this muitka a little worse for wear , in fact the smashed windscreen was the least of our problems…we were walking! »
